Frames is an award-winning pendant lamp, created by Anna Ohmsen and Emma Bukhave Vidarsson.
In 2018, the design won both the FSC Design Award and Mad & Bolig’s Design Prize for its innovative approach to sustainability and aesthetics.
Originally developed for the FSC Design Award, the goal was to design a product in FSC-certified wood that reflected one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Our concept focused on responsible production and transportation, resulting in a flexible pendant lamp designed for flat-packing—making it easier to ship and assemble.
The process spanned from initial concept sketches to a full-scale 1:1 prototype. As part of the prize, we partnered with Kvist Industries in Latvia to finalize the production-ready version, working hands-on with their team to bring the design to life.
Following the awards, we signed a contract with NORR11 as royalty designers, and Frames was in production and on the market for three years. In 2023, we chose to end our collaboration with NORR11 and reclaim full rights to the design—ready to explore new directions and opportunities for its future.
